Game slated for this winter features Pokémon protagonist

The October issue of Shogakukan's Corocoro Comic magazine is announcing this week that an all-new Pokémon game, Pokémon Fushigi no Dungeon: Magnagate to Mugendai Meikyū (Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth), will debut this winter on the Nintendo 3DS handheld console.

In the game, the player turns into a Pokémon as if in some sort of dream. The player then partners with other Pokémon to explore the world. The game features such Pokémon as Axew (Kibago), Oshawott (Mijumaru), Tepig (Pokabu), Snivy (Tsutaaja), and Pikachu.

Pokémon Fushigi no Dungeon: Magnagate to Mugendai Meikyū will use augmented reality technology to allow players scan objects in the real world that will then become "magnagates" that will open up new dungeons to explore within the game.
