Arc System Works announced Disgaea creator Sōhei Niikawa and SuperNiche's new game Demons' Night Fever during its showcase livestream on Thursday. The game will debut in 2026.
Arc System Works describes the game:
Misdeed, Theft, Abduction, Plunder. This is a tale of "Evil", where anything goes.Where the hero is a dull boy "Kyoshiro", who hates the world. And a self-proclaimed evil god having lost his powers appears to him. Team up with the evil god and go beyond the limits of evil ! Steal! Abduct! Terminate! Let your evil show!
Tatsuya Yano (former Gust and Atelier series composer) is composing the music for the game.
Niikawa resigned from his position of Nippon Ichi Software president in 2022 due to personal reasons. He revealed his new game company SuperNiche earlier this year in March.
SuperNiche's website lists two projects the company is involved with, including the Etrange Overlord game based on Roman Kitayama's novel series of the same name, and an untitled project. The official website states SuperNiche aims to produce novels, manga, games, music, videos, among other media.
Niikawa joined Nippon Ichi Software in 1996. He worked for five years in sales and promotion. He became president and CEO in 2009. He discussed his rise within the company with ANN in an interview in 2012. Niikawa also served as president of NIS America. He is often credited with the creation of the Disgaea game series.
