Movie designer Osamu Horiuchi drew 12th poster for seeing-eye dog training organization

The official website for the upcoming Mōretsu Pirates (Bodacious Space Pirates) movie revealed a new poster in collaboration with The National Federation of All Japan Guide Dog Training Institution on Sunday. The poster features the main character Marika Katō, along with the promotional dog named “Glamis.” The movie's character designer Osamu Horiuchi personally drew the poster's art. 6,000 of the posters will be printed and posted in public places and educational facilities, but they will not be distributed or sold to the general public.

The poster reminds people that when the dogs are wearing harnesses, they are working, so people should not call out, touch, or try to feed them. The poster also encourages people to volunteer to be "puppy walkers." These volunteers raise guide dogs from three months after birth to the dogs' first birthdays in their own homes.

This is the 12th year that the institution has created an anime poster since 2001. Other collaborations have featured art from Akio Watanabe (Poyoyon Rock), Junichi Seki, Future Boy Conan, Onegai My Melody, Before Green Gables, and Anne of Green Gables. Most recent posters also include Kyōko and Homura from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and Rei and Mari from the Rebuild of Evangelion: 3.0 movie.
