Photo Feature: Nan Desu Kan 2014

Last weekend, Denver's Nan Desu Kan 2014 kicked off with freezing rain on Friday. Not letting the chill outside slow them down, con staff had to move lines inside. On Saturday, the Colorado weather flipped to a much more comfortable mid 70s, allowing the dealers room line to snake around to the back of the hotel like normal.
Attendance sold out around 11am on Saturday, reaching the 7,500 attendee daily cap. By last year's figures, NDK required over 250 staff members to hustle people along in lines, keep the peace, and breathe life into the gala of otaku geekdom.
Around the con, NDK's education-based programming featured a number of panels including panels featuring scholars from the Summit on Anime in North America, SANA. The World Cosplay Summit Mountain Qualifier also took place on Sunday, in addition to the regular convention masquerade. This year, NDK brought in a host of regular and new voice actors, industry professionals and musicians including Chris Cason, Chris Patton, Chuck Huber, Clarine Harp, David Vincent, Hiroyuki Hashimoto, Jan Scott-Frazier, Jason and Heather Martin, Kazuha, Kevin McKeever, Lauren Landa, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, Patrick Seitz, Robbie Daymond, Sonny Strait, Steve Yun, Takehiko Abiru, Tommy Yune and Wendy Powell.
