Nintendo video game designer and producer Shigeru Miyamoto and fellow game director and producer Takashi Tezuka (Zelda, Mario series) took a day trip to Jim Henson Studios in Hollywood. The group came to see the master puppetmakers behind their own muppet versions that debuted at E3. Miyamoto took photos with his muppet self and tried out the Star Fox puppet.

Miyamoto also revealed in an interview with Brian Henson that as a child he admired the work of Jim Henson and even dreamed of making puppets himself.

President and COO of Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aime, Miyamoto, and President and CEO Satoru Iwata all got the puppet treatment for the presentation.
