Yūki Kuwahara stars as boy forced to dress in drag by student council

The official website for the television anime of Norio Tsukudani's four-panel manga Himegoto began streaming its first promotional video on Monday.

    18-Kin-san & Unko: A... A beautiful girl...!!
    Text: I, Hime Arikawa …
Man: Do you seriously have no boobs?
    Hime: It's because I don't have a bra on... It's because I'm a guy.
Text: Cross-dressing my high school life
18-Kin-san: This is Hime Arikawa, the dog of the student council!
Text: I swear to work as the dog of the student council...
18-Kin-san: Like I could accept that such a beautiful girl is actually a guy!!
Unko: No bra? Hime, you sure are pervy.
    Hime: Don't muddle the facts!
Bell-senpai: Well, if you ask me... His panties should be white, please!
    Man: Boys are the best!
Hime: Well... I am a boy...

The story follows Hime Arikawa (Yūki Kuwahara), a boy who is being chased down by scary people. However, he is rescued from danger by the girls in his school's student council — 18-Kin-san (Yuka Saotome), President Unko (Saki Ono), and Bell-sempai (Hisako Tōjō). The student council will assume Arikawa's debt under one condition: "As the student council's dog, you will spend your high school life in women's clothes."

The cast includes:

Yūki Kuwahara as Hime Arikawa

Yuka Matenrō (Yuka Saotome) as Aruku 18-Kin-san ("Rated 18+-san")

Saki Ono as President Unko ("Poop")

Hisako Tōjō as Albertina II (Bell-sempai)

Chinatsu Akasaki as Kaguya Arikawa

Minami Tsuda as No. 1

Ayane Sakura as Mitsunaga Oda

Azusa Tadokoro as Hiro

Takuya Eguchi as Tadokoro (not pictured)

Takeyuki Yanase (animation director on Excel Saga, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal) is directing the anime at Asahi Production, and Kazuho Hyodo (Robot Girls Z, Wanna Be the Strongest in the World) is writing and supervising the scripts. Masaaki Sakurai (Demonbane, G-taste, Nozoki Ana) is designing the characters. The female cast members, under the name Ai Mai Mii Main ("I My Me Mine"), will perform the opening theme song "Troublemaker" and ending theme song "Makeup."

The five-minute anime will premiere on the BS11 on July 7, and it will also stream on the niconico service in Japan beginning on July 8.

Tsukudani launched the manga in WAaI! in 2011, and Ichijinsha published the second compiled book volume in April. Tsukudani also draws the manga adaptation of Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai ~Hitori Bocchi no Utahime~.
