Uwa-Koi Romance Manga Ends in September

Series by Aki Sora author received two live-action film adaptations

This year's 18th issue of Shonengahosha's Young King magazine announced on Monday that Masahiro Itosugi's Uwa-koi manga will end in the magazine's 20th issue on September 22.

The "tension-filled non-stop triangle love story" follows Yuno and Yukiteru, Yuno's childhood friend who lives with her. They are the official "best couple" of their school. However, Yuno's beautiful close friend Rena pursues Yukiteru, leading to a "ruinous love triangle."

Itosugi launched the manga in Monthly Young King magazine in 2011, but moved it to the main Young King magazine when Monthly Young King ceased publication. The fifth compiled volume shipped in June.

A live-action adaptation of the series was green-lit in December. The story was adapted into two live-action films that were released on home video on June 2 and July 4, respectively.

The September issue of Akita Shoten's Champion RED magazine launched Itosugi's XH: Cross H manga last month. That story follows Oruka, a guy wallowing in despair after he fails his college entrance exams. Desperate, he has a one-night stand with a beautiful woman named Noa after meeting her for the first time. When Oruka finally gets to college, he finds himself reunited with Noa, but she has certain conditions if they are going to continue as lovers.

Itosugi's adult romance manga Aki Sora received two original video animation adaptations. Itosugi also wrote the story and drew the art for the manga A Wish of My Sister.
