New Cardfight!! Vanguard G Card Game Anime Previewed in Video

TV Tokyo began streaming a promotional video for the upcoming Cardfight!! Vanguard G sequel anime on Sunday. The video features the anime's opening theme song, "Break It!" by Mamoru Miyano. The preview premiered after the final episode of the previous series, Cardfight!! Vanguard: Legion Mate.

The story of Cardfight!! Vanguard G is set at Card Capital Shop No. 2 three years after Legion Mate. The main characters are Chrono Shindō, Shion Kiba, and Tokoha Anjō. Shin Nitta, the manager of Card Capital Shop No. 2, and part-time worker Kamui Katsuragi will return in the new anime, as will Misaki Togura and Card Capital's owner. Also appearing is Kōji Ibuki (voiced by Mamoru Miyano) from this year's Gekijōban Cardfight!! Vanguard (Cardfight!! Vanguard the Movie). Ibuki will hold the key to the new story.
Miyano is also performing the opening theme song "Break It!", while Misaki Togura (as voiced by Izumi Kitta) is performing the ending "Dakara Genki for You" (That's Why This is Happiness For You). The anime will premiere on October 26.
The accompanying Cardfight!! Vanguard G card game will offer trial decks on November 22, January 22, and April. Booster packs will follow on December 5, February 20, and June, and an extra booster pack will go on sale in March.
Cardfight!! Vanguard co-creator Takaaki Kidani had said in March that the franchise will get fifth, sixth and seventh seasons. Crunchyroll streamed the first three series subtitled as they aired in Japan while the Animax Asia dub was streamed on YouTube.
