The August issue of Gentosha's Comic Birz magazine announced on Thursday that Kei Toume (Lament of the Lamb, Yesterday o Utatte) will launch a new manga series in the magazine's next issue on July 30. The magazine will reveal the manga's title alongside the launch. The September issue of Comic Birz will feature the manga on its cover, and the first chapter will have a color opening page.

Toume drew a visual for the manga, which appeared in the August issue.

The visual is accompanied by the text, "Strum out your quivering emotions," and "Harmony and noise played at max volume!"

Tokyopop and Del Rey published Toume's Lament of the Lamb and Kurogane manga, respectively, in English. Toume launched her latest series, Mahoromi - Jikū Kenchiku Genshitan (Mahoromi - The Story of Space-time Construction Visual Hallucinations), in Shogakukan's Big Comic Spirits magazine in 2009 as an irregular serialization, and ended it last year. Shogakukan published the manga's fourth and final compiled book volume in April 2015.

Lament of the Lamb inspired a four-episode original video animation (OVA) in 2003 starring Megumi Hayashibara and Tomokazu Seki.
