RIN-NE Anime's 3rd Season Casts Miyuki Sawashiro, Megumi Hayashibara

New key visual also revealed for anime premiering on April 8

NHK announced two new cast members on Wednesday for the third televisionanime season inspired by Rumiko Takahashi's RIN-NE (Kyōkai no Rinne) manga. Miyuki Sawashiro (Sword Art Online II's Sinon, Natsume's Book of Friends's Jun) will play the character Anematsuri Annette Hitomi, the "lady in the shopping mall." Megumi Hayashibara (Detective Conan's Ai, Ranma ½'s Ranma) will play Otome Rokudō, Rinne's mother.

The network also unveiled a new key visual and revealed that the new anime season will premiere on NHK-E TV on April 8. New episodes will air every Saturday at 5:35 p.m.

The RIN-NE 2 television anime series premiered in Japan on April 9. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired, and Sentai Filmworks licensed the series for home video.

The anime's first 25-episode season premiered in April 2015. Crunchyroll also streamed the series as it aired, and Sentai Filmworks released the series on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in two sets in July and September.

Takahashi launched the manga in Shonen Sunday in 2009 after ending her long-running series Inuyasha in the same magazine. The RIN-NE manga's 34th compiled book volume shipped in Japan on December 16. Viz Media is releasing the manga in English, and it released the 22nd compiled volume on November 8.
