Aniplex of America announced at its Anime Boston panel on Friday that it will simulcast the the television anime of Tsukasa Fushimi's Eromanga Sensei light novels beginning on Saturday, April 8 at 1:00 p.m. EDT. The stream will be available on Crunchyroll, Daisuki, and Amazon's Anime Strike.

The "new sibling romantic comedy" revolves around Masamune Izumi, a light novel author in high school. Masamune's little sister is Sagiri, a shut-in girl who hasn't left her room for an entire year. She even forces her brother to make and bring her meals when she stomps on the floor. Masamune wants his sister to leave her room, because the two of them are each other's only family.
Masamune's novel illustrator, penname "Eromanga Sensei," draws extremely perverted drawings, and is very reliable. Masamune had never met his illustrator, and figured he was just a disgusting, perverted otaku. However, the truth is revealed that his "Eromanga Sensei" is his own younger sister. To add to the chaos that erupts between the siblings, a beautiful, female, best-selling shōjo manga creator becomes their rival.
Aniplex of America is streaming a trailer for the series.
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Sword Art Online's Kirito) is playing the protagonist Masamune Izumi, and Akane Fujita (Mahō Shōjo Nante Mō Ii Desu Kara.'s Yuzuka Hanami) is playing Sagiri Izumi in the anime. Fujita is reprising the role from an earlier visual drama that was broadcast on Niconico.
Ryohei Takeshita (Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun chief animation director) and Tatsuya Takahashi (And you thought there is never a girl online?, The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn) are directing and supervising the series scripts, respectively. Hiroyuki Oda (a pseudonym of Hiro Kanzaki) is designing the characters for animation. Shinichiro Kashiwada is serving as the producer of the project, and Aniplex and A-1 Pictures are producing the anime.
ClariS will perform the anime's opening theme song "Hitorigoto" (Soliloquy). TrySail is performing the anime's ending theme song "adrenaline!!!"
Fushimi launched the light novel series in 2013 after finishing the Oreimo (Ore no Imōto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai) light novel series. As with Oreimo, Hiro Kanzaki draws the illustrations for Eromanga Sensei.
