The manga follows the titular characters Hakumei and Mikochi, two nine-centimeter-tall (about 3.5-inch-tall) dwarf girls who live deep in a forest, making their home in the hollow of a tree, using leaves as umbrellas, and riding on the backs of insects and birds.

Kashiki has been serializing the manga in Kadokawa's harta magazine (previously known as Fellows! magazine), and Kadokawa published the fifth compiled book volume of the manga in January.
