Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Smartphone Game Gets Worldwide Release

iOS/Android game to initially launch in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau

Sega announced on the "Sega Station" live streaming program on Tuesday that the Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation game for iOS and Android devices will get a worldwide release. In addition to Japan, the game will initially be available in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.

Sega also announced that an augmented-reality feature for the game is in development. The feature, which will utilize smartphone cameras, will launch with an update after the game's launch. The game's official Twitter account began streaming a video that previews the planned AR function.

Additionally, Sega revealed the five-star demons Alice, Susanoo, and Baron.

The first trailer for the game debuted in October.

Pre-registration for the game launched in Japan on November 10, and a campaign is offering in-game rewards depending on how many people pre-register. Pre-registration launched in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau on Tuesday.

Sega first teased the game with a collaboration website in September.
