Non-sequitur comedy manga inspired 4 TV anime

The May issue of Shueisha's Jump SQ. magazine revealed on April 4 that Kōsuke Masuda's Gag Manga Biyori manga will get a fourth stage play titled Butai Masuda Kōsuke Gekijō Gag Manga Biyori Mukaikaze 100% (100% Headwind) in September. The new stage play will be a completely new work, and the magazine hinted that the new stage play will center on "that man chasing after the fragment of the dream."

The nonsensical gag comedy manga is known for its bizarre plot setups and non-sequitur humor.

The original Masuda Kōsuke Gekijō Gag Manga Biyori manga ran in Shueisha's Monthly Shonen Jump and Jump SQ. magazine from 2000 until December 2014, when it changed its title to Masuda Kōsuke Gekijō Gag Manga Biyori GB. The manga is ongoing.

The original manga inspired four anime series in 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2010, respectively.

The third stage play adaptation of the manga debuted in February 2017.
