Actress Meagan Good says 'armor and bone blades' will be in film

Actor T.I. Harris shared several images from the set of Constantin Film's Hollywood live-action film adaptation of CAPCOM's Monster Hunter action game franchise last week. The images show Harris and his fellow actors in costume for the film.

Harris also shared a video of a solifugid he saw in South Africa, where filming is taking place.

Actress Meagan Good also shared some images from set on her Instagram account over the past few weeks. She added in one of the posts that the "armor and bone blades" from the game will be in the movie, too.

Actors Milla Jovovich and Diego Boneta also posted set pictures.

The film will star Jovovich (Resident Evil movie franchise) as Captain Artemis and martial arts actor Tony Jaa (Ong-Bak film series) as "The Hunter." Additionally, Ron Perlman (Hellboy film series, Pacific Rim, Sons of Anarchy) plays the Admiral, who is the leader of The Hunter's crew. Harris (Ant-Man, Ant-Man and the Wasp) plays a sniper named Link, and Boneta (Luis Miguel: La Serie, Pretty Little Liars) plays Sergeant Marshall. Good and Josh Helman also have roles in the film.

CAPCOM describes the film's story:

The film will depict two protagonists who come from different worlds and must cooperate in fighting monsters in order to survive.

CAPCOM also told entertainment news website Variety regarding the plot, "Along the way, viewers will make new discoveries and encounter familiar faces and beloved characters from the games like the Admiral."

Constantin Film will release the film in German-speaking territories, Tencent Pictures will release the film in China, and Sony's Screen Gems will release the film in the United States. TOHO will distribute the film in Japan. Sony Pictures Releasing International will release the film in the rest of the world.

The film is budgeted at around US$60 million, and is shooting in and around Cape Town in South Africa. The film started production in October.
