BD/DVD box sets sell 2,001 copies

"The Final ~Sugoi Sabato 2019" event announced on Sunday that production on a second television anime season of Yukiwo's Dropkick on My Devil! (Jashin-chan Dropkick!!) manga has been green-lit. The anime's Blu-ray Disc and DVD box sets have sold over 2,000 copies combined to guarantee the second season. The first box sold 1,043 copies, while the second box sold 958 copies.

The event also announced that a CD project of the "Jinbō-chō Aika" character song is launching, with details to be announced later.

The staff had announced in October that if the Blu-ray Disc and DVD box sets sell a combined 2,000 copies before the January 20, executive producer Kouichirou Natsume would greenlight a second season of the show. The Twitter account has posted several times since with updated sales numbers, including 1,500 copies sold as of November.

The original comedy manga by Yukiwo centers on Yurine Hanazono, a college student who summons Jashin-chan, a demon from the underworld. Now they must live together in a run-down apartment in Tokyo's Jinbōchō district. If Yurine dies, Jashin-chan gets to go back to the underworld, so she constantly plots to kill Yurine.

Hikaru Sato (Chronicles of the Going Home Club) directed the series at Nomad (Chronicles of the Going Home Club, School-Live!). Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, Is the order a rabbit?) oversaw the series scripts, and also wrote the scripts alongside Momoko Murakami (Muromi-san, Mahou Shoujo Nante Mouiidesukara.). Makoto Koga (Aria the Animation, Blessing of the Campanella) served as both character designer and chief animation director, and Yuki Kurihara and Yuzuru Jinma composed the music. Kouichirou Natsume (Naruto Shippūden the Movie: Bonds, anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day film) was the executive producer.

The first anime season premiered on July 9. The anime is streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video inside and outside of Japan. Amazon Prime Video premiered the final bonus episode on October 1.
