Capcom announced on Friday that it released the Teppen smartphone game, which it is developing with GungHo Online Entertainment, for iOS and Android devices in North America and Europe on Thursday. The game is slated to launch in Japan and Asia later.

The "ultimate card battle" game features characters from previous Capcom games such as Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, and Street Fighter. The game features a real-time battle system and an original story. The free-to-play game includes in-app purchases.

Both Capcom and GungHo will continue to collaborate on the game's development and promotion. In addition, Capcom plans to release more smartphone titles worldwide, which it will develop both jointly and internally.

Capcom also released Sengoku Basara: Battle Party, the first smartphone game in its Sengoku Basara franchise, for iOS and Android devices in Japan on June 24.
