Webtoons Lead Nominations in Webcomic Categories at 2025 Ringo Awards

The Mike Wieringo Comic Book Industry Awards (“Ringo Awards”) announced the nominees for its 2025 ceremony on Wednesday.
In the Best Webcomic category, WEBTOON Entertainment secured four of the seven nominations with: The Croaking, The Mafia Nanny, Novae, and Vampire Family.
Additional nominees in the category include Tapas Entertainment's Daughter of a Thousand Faces and Manta's Under the Oak Tree. DC Go!/DC Comics' Renaissance of Raven is also nominated in the category.
WEBTOON Entertainment titles also earned two slots in the Best Humor Webcomic category with High Class Homos and Wanna Be Friends?, joined by the Dealing with Demons webtoon series from Manta. The titles are competing against Comics Kingdom's Rosebuds and DC Go!/DC Comics' Nothing Butt Nightwing and Harley Quinn in Paradise.
The Ringo Awards, named after the late comic artist Mike Wieringo, recognize achievements across the comic book industry, with categories ranging from Best Cartoonist and Best Series to Best Original Graphic Novel and Best Webcomic. Final voting is limited to professionals working in the comics field, while the awards ceremony itself is open to both fans and industry members.
The winners will be announced during Baltimore Comic-Con on October 18, 2025.
