Iron-Blooded Orphans Director Tatsuyuki Nagai Attends Gundam Event at NYCC on October 9

Bandai Namco Filmworks announced on Friday the details of the 10th anniversary celebrations event for the Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans franchise during New York Comic Con 2025. The company announced that director Tatsuyuki Nagai will attend the convention for an autograph session on October 9 at 2:00 p.m. at the Tamashii Nations booth. Ticket holders attending the free autograph session will get a signed commemorative poster featuring the new "Barbatos Rises at NYC" artwork by mechanical designer Naohiro Washio.

Each attendee is also entitled bring one personal item for signing which is subject to staff approval. Other giveaway items include a "Gundam Card Game Resource Promo Card: Machu (RP-010)," Gundam headband, Gundam halloons, Gundam introduction booklet, Gunpla Trial Kit RX-78-2 Gundam, Iron-Blooded Orphans mini-poster, and a shopper bag.
The company will host a fan meet-up on the same day at 7:30 p.m. in "Room 1E05" at the convention center.
Bandai Namco Filmworks will also host a Gundam film festival at Japan Society on October 11 and October 12. The festival will screen films with English dubs and open with a screening of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- on October 11 at 12:30 p.m. The schedule for the second day of the festival includes a Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz Special (4K remastered edition) screening at 1:30 p.m., a talk show featuring Mark Hildreth (English voice of Heero Yuy) at 3:00 p.m., a screening of Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway at 4:10 p.m., and a talk show featuring Megan Shipman and Aaron B. Phillips (voices of Gigi and Kenneth, respectively) at 5:45 p.m.
Tickets for the first day of the festival will cost US$25 and tickets for the second day will cost US$60. The tickets are on sale on Japan Society's website.
New York Comic Con runs from October 9-12 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
The standalone anime release for Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans – Urðr Hunt Special Edition: Path of the Little Challenger (Kidō Senshi Gundam: Tekketsu no Orphans: Urðr-Hunt), an animated spinoff from the Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans (Kidō Senshi Gundam: Tekketsu no Orphans) television anime series, will open theatrically in Japan on October 31, with a North American release planned. A new short film titled "Makuai no Kusabi" based celebrating the 10th anniversary celebrations of the Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans franchise will screen alongside Urðr Hunt on October 31.
