Webtoon-Based Live-Action Netflix Series Chicken Nugget Nominated for International Emmy Award

The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the 53rd International Emmy Awards on Saturday, and the Netflix original series Chicken Nugget, based on the webtoon Fried Chicken by Ji-dok Park, has been nominated in the Comedy category.
Starring Seung-ryong Ryu and Jae-hong Ahn, Chicken Nugget follows a father's desperate efforts to recover his daughter after she mysteriously transforms into a chicken nugget. The series is recognized for its unpredictable storytelling and unique premise.
The show will compete against France's Iris, the United Kingdom's Ludwig, and Mexico's Y Regalón de Noche. Winners will be announced on November 24 in New York.
The International Emmy Awards, regarded as one of the world's top three television honors alongside Canada's Banff World Media Festival and Monaco's Monte-Carlo Television Festival, recognizes excellence in television produced outside of the United States. It is distinct from the Primetime Emmy Awards, which celebrate U.S. productions.
Currently, an English version of the original webtoon is not available.
