U.K. Blu-ray Steelbook of 86 Will Be Released on Monday

On Monday October 27, Crunchyroll will release a Blu-ray Steelbook edition of the 23-part series 86. The series is described as follows:

"Called 'Juggernaut,' these are the unmanned combat drones developed by the Republic of San Magnolia in answer to the attacks by the autonomous unmanned drones of the neighboring Empire of Giad, the 'Legion'. But they're only unmanned in name. In reality, they are piloted by the Eighty-sixers - those considered to be less than human and treated as mere tools.

"Determined to achieve his own mysterious ends, Shin, the captain of Spearhead Squadron, which is comprised of Eighty-sixers, continues to fight a hopeless war on a battlefield where only death awaits him."

Toshimasa Ishii (episode director for Space Brothers, ERASED, Occultic;Nine) directed the anime at A-1 Pictures. Toshiya Ono (The Promised Neverland, Land of the Lustrous, Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga) was in charge of the series scripts, and Tetsuya Kawakami (Interviews with Monster Girls, Robot Girls Z, The Asterisk War: The Academy City on the Water) designed the characters. Shirogumi produced the CG, and Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto contributed the music.

Anime Limited will release a Blu-ray of the eight volume of Bleach, carrying episodes 196 to 223. The set will contain three art cards and the volume is described as follows:

"The battle against the Arrancars continues. Just as Ichigo is on the verge of death, Kenpachi Zaraki steps in and takes over the fight with the Espada Tesla. And Byakuya clashes with Zommari Rureaux, the fastest of the Espadas, who is trying to finish off an injured Rukia. Will his Bankai be enough to defeat Zommari when he uses Rukia's body as a shield?"
