Flows, with all the eddies, detours and tributaries of life, straight to an offbeat but hugely satisfying conclusion. Bring on season two.

There is merit to this release in its greater wealth of new footage and improvements on Mello and Near's overwrought episodes. Still, it's only "better" for the fans, and the uninitiated should always just turn to the original series.

Clannad After Story Sub.DVD 1
Tomoya helps more girls before progressing on with his own life with Nagisa in this continuation of the popular 2006 anime series. It maintains the style and sentiment of the original but steps up its game when the story moves on past high school years, making it a must-have for franchise fans.
