Hideo Kojima's Physint Action Espionage Game Reveals Cast

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga's Charlee Fraser, Train to Busan's Don Lee, Godzilla Minus One's Minami Hamabe star


The Kojima Productions 10th anniversary event presented the poster art and cast for Hideo Kojima's new action espionage game Physint on Tuesday. The game will star Australian actress and model Charlee Fraser (Anyone but You, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga), Korean-American actor and producer Don Lee (Train to Busan, Eternals), and Japanese actress Minami Hamabe (live-action Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler, Shin Kamen Rider, Godzilla Minus One). Regarding the game's development status, Kojima Productions stated that it is still in the early planning stages, as the company is focusing on producing the OD KNOCK horror game.

Kojima Productions first announced the game in January 2024, and it stated then that the game's production will begin after production ends on Death Stranding 2 in a collaboration with PlayStation. Kojima describes the game as an attempt to "transcend" the barrier between video games and movies, as he also described the game as a movie.

The Kojima Productions 10th anniversary event also announced more details for the new horror game OD KNOCK and DEATH STRANDING MOSQUITO, the working title for the adult animation feature film project set in the universe of the Death Stranding game. 

Kojima Productions is developing the OD KNOCK game using Unreal Engine with 3Lateral and Epic Games' MetaHuman tools for character creation, in conjunction with Xbox Game Studios. The game's teaser trailer features American actress Sophia Lillis (ItDungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), and also credits German actor Udo Kier and American actress and model Hunter SchaferKojima is collaborating with film director and comedian Jordan Peele (Get OutUsNope) on it.

 Hiroshi Miyamoto (Eiga Precure Dream Stars!Hugtto! Precure Futari wa Precure All Stars Memoriesis directing the DEATH STRANDING MOSQUITO project at ABC ANIMATION STUDIO and Aaron Guzikowski (Raised by Wolves) is writing the project's script. 

Kojima Productionsoriginal Death Stranding game shipped for PlayStation 4 in November 2019. The game launched on PC via Steam in July 2020 after a delay from June 2020 due to COVID-19. Death Stranding: Director's Cut, the PlayStation 5 version of the game, launched in September 2021. Death Stranding: Director's Cut launched for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in March 2022. 

The game is inspiring a separate film adaptation at Hammerstone Studios (Barbarian, Bill and Ted Face the Music). Director Michael Sarnoski (PigA Quiet Place: Day One) is set to write and direct the film. Lars Knudsen and Ari Aster's Square Peg production company is also producing the film.
