Its a freaking awsome show. But fuedal (?) Japan does not equal post-apocalyptic.

lol
and i know...but for some reason it comes to mind. maybe because the art is amazingly fresh, new, and beautiful, as the story is as well? or maybe it's all the other redeeming factors?
now im thinking of chobits....hm. odd. what do these have to do with the apocolyptic death that we will indeed face? i dont know.

And this is why most people should not give recommendation, even though they think they're otaku or whatever.

Thank you all for your selections, I will have a huge blockbuster late fee soon enough,
Akira - I have heard about before and will look intio again,
Gilgamesh - seems to have an interesting plot design,
A Wind Named Amnesia - seems to be right up my alley,
Sousei no Aquarion - might be a little much,
Trinity Blood - I don't know about... never got into vampires too much
Now and then Here and There - I have heard many good things about, just cant find it anywhere.. perhaps I'll try netflix...
Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou - Another one that looks very good ad I will definitly check out
Day after Tomorrow - yes I have seen it and loved it,
Once again thank you very much for your suggestions and if you think of any more just feel free to post them as I will probably start leaving feedback on the ones I watch here.

I've really got to warn you about this one. It does take place in a post-apocolyptic setting, but its all about giant robot battles. And I don't think its been released state side yet. Hell I'm not even sure if its been licsensed.
