This is really awesome news. I saw Funimation mention Noitamina on their twitter but silly me I thought it was just something about their license of Eden of the East. This however is something really cool. I think the Noitamina block is one of the best things to happen to anime, so I love that the block is literally coming to the US.

I hope that means that we will also be seeing DVD releases of the Noitamina series, including some of the old ones (especially Mononoke).

It has been around a year since I was last exited about a licensing announcement. I can't think of the last time I was this excited about a licensing announcement, a Masaaki Yuasa show legally available in the US. I remember watching Mind game in 04 and think wow he is going to be big.
In a perfect world Funimation would pick up the psychical media/DTO rights for the rest of his work as well as the works of Yasuhiro Yoshiura. I don't think the world allows me that much happiness for that to happen.

House of Five Leaves looks pretty badass. I love the music and visual style.
