Congrats to the winners! I have to admit that last entry was funny!

Well, 'Burst Angel' making it to "rental shelf" wasn't so bad. I mean it's not quite a show for everyone. It may not be like 'Haibane Renmei' or 'Paranoia Agent' but it's worth a look. If you like it then buy it. Personally, I plan to pick it up as well as 'Paranoia Agent'. Wink

I hear Meteos is worth getting. I don't have a DS.

That's how it always been.

Aside from the boxset, the only single worth picking up is Gankutsuou.

I'm the opposite, of the shelf worthy titles "Gankutsou" is the only one I feel isn't worth picking up, mainly because it butchers such a literature classic. "Kodocha" is a nice, funny title that's just fun to watch and "Ghost Stories" is worth it for the ADV release, I wouldn't even consider it if it was kept as a more serious attempt because it just doesn't work so well but it makes a great parody.

Just like samurai 7, I don't think GONZo's intention was to duplicate the exact material, but rather take the story and make it their own with thier own pacing and style. At the same time, they still have to try and fit it into 24 episode while being restricted to a tv series budget. That's very reasonable when looking at how many anime like Berserk never stayed true to the original source.

Not everyone read the original or want to read the original novel too. If I wanted to read the novel, I'll go read the novel. If you judge Gankutsou with a lot of other anime being release, it's currently the one of the best series to come out. But that's just opinion on the all these new series and its lacking of quality title.

Maybe it's already been said, but "Sensitive Pornograph is very “pleasant.” It’s not filled with beefy guys pounding each other or raping each other, nor is it filled with sexaholics who bone anything with a penis." was the best line on that article, I just stopped reading after that sense I'm sure nothing could top it.

I'm looking for better games right now, so recommendations are welcome. Right now, I just have Nintendogs, Animal Crossing (BLEGH not my thing), Mario Kart, and Polarium. I'm thinking of getting Super Mario. I want a game that won't become a chore after 3 days.

Sad Animal Crossing is my favorite game for the DS so far, and probably one of my favorite games period. None of the other games for the DS I really found that great. Feel the magic was good, I still finished all the difficulties in about a week or two. I guess I'm the kind of person who wants a video game that will keep me interested for months upon end. Animal Crossing fulfies that requirement and beyond. Probably the most addicting non-online game I've played (I know WW has an online feature, it's not really the same as most other online games though). I've played it everyday so far since it has come out. I guess it's not really for the people who need to have a good story, graphics, and action in order to enjoy a game.

Geneon boxed sets generally have all the DVDs in original-sized cases, with all inserts and disc extras just the same as they were on the original release. (Chobits and Mahoromatic have been in thinpack, but the disc count hasn't been reduced.) ADV's Thinpacks, on the other hand, are on fewer discs, in smaller cases, and do not have DVD extras (like interviews, galleries, commentaries, clean OP/ED...) or inserts/liner notes. (Exceptions: Full Metal Panic Season 1, RahXephon, and Noir are in 7-disc thinpacks, the same number of discs as the original release, and thus have the on-disc extras intact. There are no liner notes or other external extras.)

ADV is the only company doing this right now; for example, the Wolf's Rain set from Bandai is pretty much the same as the original release, except no toy and a differently shaped box.

if you would like to request proof, i hope you can be more polite. stupid sounding quotes only make you appear to be trying to divert the issue. anyway are you a gay prostitute? that's the connotation i get about getting cash from ass.

I have no proof either, but one of my friends sent me that image by email a few months ago. She looks at those 'funny image' sites alot, the sort of ones that have pictures that say 'We Found Nemo' and have him all cut up in sushi.

I probably shouldn't be laughing at this, but I found that extremely funny. Anyway he's right, the prize shouldn't be going to this person. Even though he was already breaking the rules I think the prize was given under the assumption that it was his own work.
