'Luca, the Dragon Vet' Manga Enters Final Arc

Yūna Hirasawa revealed on her X/Twitter account on Sunday that her Luca, the Dragon Vet (Ryūi no Luca, also known as Lucíana, Dragon Veterinarian) manga has entered its final arc, but the manga's climax is still a while away.

Kodansha USA Publishing licensed the manga and will begin releasing the manga in print in fall 2026. The company describes the manga:

Luca was raised in a world where people can fly—to travel, work, or war—on the backs of dragons, and she knows what she wants to be: a dragon vet! Standing in her way are stringent admissions rules, impossibly difficult classes, and a notorious family name… A magical medical drama full of adventure and intrigue from the creator of My Journey to Her, perfect for younger and older fans of Witch Hat Atelier and The Apothecary Diaries!

Hirasawa debuted the manga in Kodansha's Morning two with medical supervision from Hoko Tsuda in September 2022. Kodansha published the manga's fifth compiled book volume on May 22.

Kodansha USA Publishing began releasing Hirasawa's My Journey to Her manga digitally in English in July 2024. The manga debuted in Morning in March 2016, and it received a single volume release that June. The manga won the Best Digital Comic award at this year's Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards on July 25. Kodansha USA Publishing will release the manga in print in fall 2026.
