uhh... does this mean they are going to keep the show digital only? I'm not sure why else they would try to release a dub online with no Home Video release scheduled outside of simulcast season.
Anyway, I really hope not. This release is way over due. |

Nah, they'll release it on Home Video later. They release the first two episodes of the dub online 1-2 months before the home release. |

It has been solicited to Amazon UK as a combo release for August so, assuming that is correct (it is listed under Funimation with an EAN close to those used by Anime Limited but no-one has actually claimed responsibility yet) then a US BD is a certainty.

I don't remember Seishun being a mapmaker. He's a calligrapher. I haven't read the manga yet so maybe he's a mapmaker there?

I care more about a BD release, but a dub is nice. I have started to suspect that Funimation is not doing a physical release for Barakamon, but I want to be wrong.

I was wondering if they were going to dub this show or not. I figured it would be difficult with the dialect and kanji or whatnot..... but glad to see it is. Just interested in seeing how they'll do it.

Nice, can't wait till they release the BD. This is one of the only Anime comedies that I like, because it doesn't really have any fan-service.

Funimation usually announces their upcoming releases around the 15th of each month, so we should find out if Barakamon is going to be an August release sometime around then.

Well that's good news. I didn't know they did that.
I was starting to get that impression as well. Hopefully we are wrong. If it's like Raebo101 said, I will be very happy. |
