Yes! We need more pure horror anime. Last one I can remember is Another. I don't really count ones like Parasyte, Tokyo Ghoul, or Ajin since they're also very much action/shonen -- though I'm a fan of all three of those. But I want something to blow my mind like When They Cry. An Ito adaptation is just what the doctor ordered.

I'm excited! There's barely any horror anime. Also it's Junji Ito. How could this not be good?

I'd be down for an Uzumaki anime. I haven't seen the movie, but just reading about all its unnecessary changes convinced me it needed another adaptation. Especially the total massacre of Shuichi's character.

Oh! Anything will be great, but I have to hope for Mimi's Ghost Stories, however unlikely. I really enjoyed those.

This please. I love horror anthologies and Ito's vast catalog of excellent shorts would be a perfect match for a 13 episode anime series. But as a huge fan of the guy really any one of his works I'd be down with being adapted into anime as long as they can retain his signature unsettling style. I've personally felt that it would be most effective to retain the black and white aesthetic of his stories in animated form, with perhaps occasional splashes of color (like red for blood), as that's a big reason why his art gets under my skin. I know pretty much all manga is in black and white but for Ito's work it feels integral to his entire style and removing that element takes away quite a bit of the disturbing nature imo. I'm anticipating this, I just hope it isn't a poor adaption like his works have all gotten thus far.
