Kind of figured it would get a second cours given the current arc probably wouldn't be finished in just a few episodes, but it is good news nonetheless.

Given that The Animation and Crimson Moon were both 2-cour shows, it seemed likely that this would be as well, but it's good to have confirnation!

Second cour having a different op artist makes me worried that someone else writing it. The last time Mappa did this was Virgin Soul

Uh, The second half of Virgin Soul was not written by another person than the first. I haven't seen any evidence that those things are related generally or if any instances where both occur are anything but coincidental. |
