I'm just going to ask a rhetorical question: If this was meant to be, why did they cram the manga's best material in this season? Or more like the manga's best material after S1?
Seriously doubt anyone would have shed a tear if this season was consisted of Seven Goodbyes, Final Exams and Scrambled Eggs, then S3 gets Sisters' War and the rest of the manga. Because if something needs to be crammed, you know what arc is that...
Although people started speculating that this will be likely a movie instead. Obviously they can't do the rest properly in a movie, but the obligatory source scenes could get stuffed in a 2 hour long movie. This season they were not afraid of reaching 55 chapters beyond the starting point, with 2 hours, 27 chapters are granted, which is plenty. Not ideal, but plenty if they skip like 10 chapters and almost start around ch. 100.

I hope we'll get a proper 3rd season. Given the amount of chapters remaining, the anime could correct the manga's biggest flaw: the incredibly rushed denouement after the end girl is revealed. 13 or even 12 episodes might just be enough for that, if they pace things right.

Valid point! I do wonder if they're going to try to cash in on box office revenue with the endgame story.
