This image lists several more anime for the Fall season. I've copied the descriptions for the anime that didn't have one here. Are the other not yet in the database, or were they just not selected for this news post?

ETA: Just checked them. They're already present, just not in this selection. Maybe some dates need to be updated?

Yeah, Kimiko has a slightly more spot on reference, still, a good posting nonetheless for those who rely on ANN.

I was a bit confused though by the lack of other shows, like Shibakane or whatever it's called, Macademi Wasshou!, CHAOS+Head (Did I get the title right?) and many others.

Glad to see Koihime Musou get mentioned however, such a fun and cutesy title, I'm shocked there aren't more people checking it out. It's a bit generic but... It's got its hooks.

And uh, just to get this out of my system...

*deep breath* ZOMG, ONLY ONE MORE MONTH UNTIL CLANNAD AFTER STORY AND TALES OF THE ABYSS PREMIERS! Surprised Surprised Surprised Surprised Surprised Surprised

ANN still has those in the database, if you look at Latest in Japan. The ones you named don't have solid start dates in the database yet.

I've noticed a couple of errors on the OAV section - the summary for "School Days: Magical Heart Kokoro-chan" says "off course" when it should say "of course", and "Amuri in Star Ocean" uses the word "Repultion" a few times which by the description should be "repulsion".

Okay, I see how it works but... I dunno, according to the site, Macademi Wasshoi! starts airing october 5th. Question

Still, if there's one thing that I find odd about japanese broadcasting, it's their inability to make a solid announcement. Sure television shows in america might advertise wayyyyyy too far ahead of time and need to change commercials (*coughHEROES SEASON THREEcough*) but at least they typically hold to their air dates.

Regardless, it's better to just nail down 100% certainty on what's airing. Nonetheless, I can't help but wonder why one show needs to air on so many channels, and not even because of syndication...

Does it have to do with what format it'll air in? Like with Clannad's fullscreen and widescreen broadcasts last fall? And like how Soul Eater has a regular broadcast and then a late night, uncut broadcast?

If only AMERICAN networks could do that but NOOOOOO, you have to watch every show the one, first time it airs or you're potentially screwed on catching it again. Dunno how many times I've gotten frustrated losing episodes of good shows over stuff like Law and Order or Grey's Anatomy...

But advertising influences the entire airing schedule for most networks, so I guess I can't whine much, huh?

I'm looking forward to Tytania. As it obviously won't get licensed, I guess I'll have to archive the best fansubs.

Hmm... no Gundam 00 Season 2 or Stitch? Considering how often they've been mentioned on this site, that surprises me.

Anyway, it looks like a couple of potential gems and a lot of throwaways. And for those who haven't checked out Xam'd Lost Memories yet, seriously, find a friend with a PS3 and pay them to download it. It's like the lovechild of BONES and Ghibli, which is to say that it's amazing.

I might see Linebarrel, but I have this bad feeling about it since it doesn't look like a anime that will last long (seeing that the manga is monthly and all...but who knows)

While 'Detroit Metal' seems interesting (I checked out the site yesterday...didn't know it's getting a movie) there just isn't anything on the list that's struck my fancy.

Well, the new 'Gunslinger Girl' OVA seems promising. 'Lucky Star', and 'Xam'd (coming on a little late), from the blogs I've seen looks really good. And 'Yasuomi Umetsu' has another flick coming out.

Well, there's no guarantee that an anime in Japan will have multiple broadcasts. There's not even guarantee it'll air nationally - many are on just regional broadcasts, save for satellite. And there's hardly reruns.

At least American shows air reruns, even if the reruns are on cable. (And everything is national now; syndication is dead.)
