Minor correction: Kamen Rider Drive premiered THIS month. In fact, the first episode aired this past weekend.

I bust out laughing when I saw this commercial in the 2chan stream because immediately before it came on we saw spoiler[Shinnosuke going though PTSD of accidently shooting and killing his partner, complete with a shot of his bloody corpse on the ground]. Just to remind you you are indeed watching a kid's show.
Drive itself's okay. I like the potential Eiji/Ankh dynamic with Shinnosuke and his belt/car, and Kiriko is already more useful in combat and does more policework than Rinko in Wizard ever did. Police/Detective setting reminds me on W. Only complaint is the toy gimmick seems bland and the driver belt doesn't make any real catchy tunes. Definitely seems lamer compared to the fruity samurai warriors we just came off of. Think I'll skip the toys this year unless the secondary rider catches my eye. |

Oh man... those commercials. I was disappointed that Uwajimaya never got those snacks in. I was gonna complain if a giant gummy orange didn't fall on my head.

The Gaim commercial I can understand...because his henshin involves the fruit falling from the sky.
The Drive one...is just plain weird... |
