Bandai to Make Sailor Moon Figures Again
posted on by Egan Loo
Bandai revealed on Thursday, on the eve of its Tamashii Nation 2012 event, that it will release Sailor Moon action figures. Specifically, the Bandai Collectors division is displaying preliminary Sailor Moon figures from its S.H. Figuarts and chibi-arts lines at Tokyo Akihabara UDX building from Friday to Sunday.
A posable S.H. Figuarts version (pictured above) of the title character is on display, along with her cat Luna. The super-deformed chibi-arts version of Sailor Moon also features her familiar "In the name of the moon I will punish you!" pose and Luna.
The new figures coincide with next summer's launch of a new Sailor Moon anime series. Bandai also displayed chibi-arts, S.H. Figuarts, and Figuarts Zero versions of Cure Peace for the ongoing Smile Precure! magical girl television anime.
Dengeki Hobby posted more photographs from the event's preview, including Strike Witches figures, Magi figures, Tiger & Bunny figures, and other offerings.
