Sega's original Virtua Fighter 3D fighting game debuted in arcades in 1993 with its line-up of polygonal brawlers. Akira Yūki , Pai Chan, Lau Chan, Wolf Hawkfield, Jeffry McWild, Kage-Maru, Sarah Bryant, Jacky Bryant, and Dural battled their way into gamers' hearts in eight titles and earned the franchise the moniker "grandfather of 3D fighting games."

Good Smile Company's figma line is honoring the game by releasing Sarah Bryant and Akira Yūki in their original polygon design. Sarah can be posed in her 'Somersault Kick' attack and comes with her standard expression and a victory yell. This version has the character wearing black but GSC notes that a "Player 2" color scheme edition is in the works.

Akira Yūki also comes with a standard expression and yelling expression. This version wears his black gi but a "Player 2" color scheme edition is in the works for this figure as well.

Both figma cost 4,167 yen (US$34) and are slated to ship in September.
