Tokyo Metro Subway Revamps Their Mascot Girl

posted on by Amanda Ellard

The Tokyo Metro's mascot character, 23-year-old subway service manager Michika Ekino, just got an interesting upgrade.

The company released the new Michika model along with advertisement for the "Connect! Nationwide 'Railway Daughter' Tour" that will be held from February 11, 2017 to May 31, 2018. In the event, participants collect stamps from all 32 operator staff of various new and old railway mascots, including new stamps of Tokyo Metro's Michika.

Recently, crowdfunding support secured anime shorts for Kyoto Subway's mascot girls, who also inspired a novel Kyoto Girls Days last year.
