'PPAP' Singer Pikotarō Holds Concert With Silent Siren, LiSA

posted on by Jennifer Sherman

The comedian and singer Pikotarõ, known for his viral song "PPAP (Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen)," will perform at the famed Nippon Budōkan arena in Tokyo on March 3. The band Silent Siren (live-action anohana special's theme song) and singer LiSA (Fate/Zero, Sword Art Online theme songs) will also perform at the "Pikotarõ PPAPPT in Nippon Budōkan" concert.

The Cream Stew comedy duo's Shinya Ueda will attend, and more guests will be announced in the future. On the day of the concert, doors will open at 6:00 p.m., and the performances will begin at 7:00 p.m.

The advance ticket lottery period opened through Yahoo! Ticket on Thursday, and it will run until January 25. Regular reserved seats and family seats both cost 5,940 yen (about US$52) each.

Pikotarō appeared at the Anime Festival Asia convention in Singapore in November.

Death Note's Shinigami Ryuk performed his own version of the hit "PPAP (Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen)" song in November to promote the live-action Death Note: Light Up the New World film. "PPAP" became Yahoo! Japan's buzzword of 2016, and it also became one of Ryūkōgo Taishō's top ten buzzwords for last year.
