Ciel & Sebastian Take Over Fuji-Q Highland's Haunted House

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic sailed the high seas but is Sebastian and Ciel's stomachs strong enough to withstand Fuji-Q Highland's coaster? Starting on August 1, the theme park will collaborate with the fan-favorite series for the Fuji-Q Highland × Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic ~Sono shitsuji, zekkyō~" (That Butler, Screaming) event. The park will open a Black Butler area as part of the park's newly opened haunted house and a voiced drama attraction that is played over headphones.

The haunted house is a walkthrough attraction where the brave attempt to find the exit while escaping from the animated corpse "Bizarre Doll" from the Black Butler series. Before participants begin the harrowing experience, a video featuring Sebastian and Ciel will play in the lobby.

The Black Butler area will have two photo spots. One recreates Ciel's office and the other is a coffin-filled area. Both are based on scenes from Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic. Visitors can also take pictures with Black Butler characters as part of the park's AR Stamp Rally using the ARAPPLI app. After first using the app in the park, visitors can take the characters with them and take photos with characters wherever they go.

Fuji-Q Highland will also have original goods for sale and the Fuji Express Line Fuji-Q Highland Station will be outfitted in Black Butler decorations.

The collaboration will run until October 1 to celebrate the film's home video release.

Fuji-Q Highland has previously featured Evangelion, Gundam, Lupin, and Attack on Titan attractions.
