This year's Tamashii Nations 2017 event will debut 700 different figures for fans in Akihabara this weekend. The three day event opens on December 1 and is spread across two areas, Akihabara UDX and Bellesalle Akihabara. The areas are separated by different themes, with UDX hosting "Monster, Chōgōkin, Robot, Figure," and "Real Size" categories.

Some of the merchandise in UDX include new Tiger & Bunny figures and Proplica items based on props from Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne, Sailor Chibi Moon, Sailor Uranus, and Sailor Neptune from Sailor Moon.

The event is also the celebrating the Tamashii Nation brand's 10th anniversary. The Bellesalle Akihabara location is serving as a retrospective for the brand, looking back on how it has evolved over the last 10 years.

Organizers got fans pumped early with a teaser of major announcements for some of the biggest anime and tokusatsu series: Shin Godzilla, Getter Robo, Evangelion, Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, Code Geass, Dragon Ball, Pretty Cure, Kamen Rider Den-o, Saint Seiya, and Kamen Rider BLACK RX. Teaser images of the new concept figures were added to the event's banner.

The new Dragon Ball conceptual figure is Super Saiyan Goku with a mounted LED light in his head that changes his hair color from gold to blue. The Goku figure also has sound effects. The event is also revealing that Shin Godzilla will debut in the "SHMonsterArts" line and Kamen Rider Den-O will get a sword form figure.

Keep on the lookout for more news from Tamashii Nations 2017, the figures will hit store shelves soon.
