Star Wars' John Boyega Wants to Be a Titan

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Mecha pilot and Star Wars hero John Boyega has another dream role on his wishlist. The actor told MTV News that he'd love to be a Titan in a live-action adaptation of Hajime Isayama's ultra-popular Attack on Titan manga. The Pacific Rim 2 star went so far as saying he'd help produce the project.

"I'd definitely cast a whole bunch of Japanese actors to play the part, but it would look epic. It would be pretty darn cool," he said. He also envisions a film that pays homage to Isayama's art style with long panning shots following the Survey Corps as they take down the man-eating giants.

Attack on Titan already inspired two Japanese-language live-action films directed by Shinji Higuchi and starring Haruma Miura as Eren Jaegar. The films premiered in Japan in 2015. The anime's third season is slated to air in July.

Pacific Rim 2 opens in the U.S. on March 23. Director Steven S. DeKnight, showrunner and director on Netflix's Daredevil series, directed the sequel to Guillermo del Toro and Travis Beacham's 2013 science-fiction robot film.
