Voice Actress Aoi Yūki Draws Madoka's 'Ultimate' Form

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Voice actress Aoi Yūki isn't just the voice of Madoka Kaname, she's also the artist behind the character's sketches. When the character is shown drawing her magical girl outfit, the artwork used was drawn by Yūki. Other sketches by the character appear in the film versions, too.

The sketches show a cutesy style, but Yūki's art isn't limited to just super-deformed characters. She shared an illustration on Twitter on Thursday after a "long hiatus" from drawing. The picture shows Madoka in her "ultimate form" and Yūki drew it to commemorate "Magia Day" on September 1. The day marks the one year anniversary of the Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Gaiden smart phone game.

The Abema TV service will stream the "Magia Day" event on September 1 with special guests Momo Asakura (Iroha Tamaki), Aoi Yūki (Madoka Kaname), Sora Amamiya (Nanami Yachiyo), Shiina Natsukawa (Yui Tsuruno), Ayane Sakura (Felicia Mitsuki), Yui Ogura (Sana Futaba), and Emiri Katō (Kyubey). Ume Aoki will also appear in the program for a live drawing segment.

Yūki was recently the subject of an all-ages authorized dōjin by Shioichi. She's also one half of the singing duo petit milady.
