Laid-Back Camp Event Combines the Outdoors and Sake
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
There are a multitude of ways to enjoy camping. Sometimes it's better alone, sometimes it's better with friends, and sometimes it's better with alcohol. Laid-Back Camp character Minami Toba falls in the latter category. The substitute teacher makes her debut in the series by getting totally sloshed at her camp site.
After several events centering on music and dojinshi, the staff are putting together an affair for the older fans to the series who'd like to enjoy a little drinking like Toba. Fans can apply for a chance to get one of the limited spots for the Laid-Back Camp sake tasting and talk show event with special guests Shizuka Itou (voice of Minami Toba) and Nao Tōyama, the voice of series protagonist Rin Shima. The event will be held at Bell Classic Kofu, a wedding venue in Kofu, Yamanashi on January 27, 2019.
The event is part of a promotion for the commemorative Laid-Back Camp sequel sake. The sake is limited to just 120 bottles, each retailing for 6,000 yen (US$53). Pre-orders are open until December 10 and orders are expected to ship on December 20. The Minami-based brewery Taikan Shuzo handcrafted the alcohol.
Rin, Nadeshiko, Aoi, Ena, and Chiaki will return for a second anime season, movie, and short anime. The first anime premiered on January 4, and Crunchyroll streamed the 12-episode series as it aired. The anime's home video release in Japan included an "episode 0" anime.
