Virtual YouTuber, Idol Kizuna Ai Stars in Cup Noodle Miso Ads

It looks like Nissin has already moved on from virtual YouTube personality Kaguya Luna to fellow virtual gamer-turned-idol Kizuna Ai. Nissin announced on Twitter on March 27 that Kizuna Ai will appear in a commercial for its Cup Noodle Miso brand on April 1.
The tweet shows the character dressed in blue with glasses, orange, and yellow. Each version is holding a different Cup Noodle flavor (Smoky & Spicy Sio, Miso, and Curry Cheese). Kizuna Ai responded in her own tweet on the same day where she wrote that filming the commercial was exciting and that everyone should keep an eye out since the ad will be out on March 28.

Kizuna Ai might be YouTube's biggest virtual character success story. She signed on for her own television program, has official merchandise (including Nendoroids), and is now trying her hand at singing and is even appearing in live concerts.
Nissin is no stranger to unique marketing campaigns. The company introduced its demonic version of its Hiyoko-chan mascot and has previously collaborated with the classic Rose of Versailles manga and the Final Fantasy XV game.
