New Re:Zero Mystery Event Heads to Ikebukuro Next Month

A mystery-solving event centering on the time-scrambling Re:Zero anime and light novel series will take over Ikebukuro from October 19 to December 15. The event is titled "Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Mystery Game: Mayoi no Machi no Makafushigi" event, but details are currently underwraps. Staff will announce more about the event on Twitter and the official website soon.

The upcoming Re:Zero Hyōketsu no Kizuna (Frozen Bonds) OVA episode will screen in theaters in Japan starting on November 8. A collaboration event will kick off on October 9 and run until November 18 at the Sunshine Sakae mall in Nagoya. The mall's Sky-Boat Ferris wheel get a Re:Zero makeover and each passenger will get a commemorative boarding pass. Re:Zero photo backdrops will be set up around the complex.

The 25-episode Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- anime adaptation premiered in April 2016. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan. Funimation released the television anime on home video with an English dub last June.

The television anime is getting a second season.

Tappei Nagatsuki launched the original novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2012. Yen Press is publishing the light novel series in English, and is also releasing Daichi Matsuse's manga adaptation of the series, as well as the Re:Zero Ex spinoff light novel series.
