Bandai Japan acquires Ashi Productions

Bandai adds the company responsible for the production of Macross 7 to its fold

The Bandai Group Banpresto has added Ashi Productions, producers of Macross 7, to its list of subsidiaries. Bandai, which own 90% of Ashi Productions' stock, is seen as having made the move in order to improve its profit margins in the merchansing area.
In addition to 1994's Macross 7 TV series Ashi has worked on the production of the following Anime (this list may not be complete):

Blue Seed (1994) - TV-Series
Borgman (1988) - TV-Series
Houma Hunter Lime (1996) - OVA
Cyber Team in Akihabara (1998) - TV-Series

Fairy Princess Minky Momo (1991) - TV-Series
Kirara (1998) - OVA
Machine Robo: Revenge of Chronos (1986) - TV-Series
Mary Bell (1992) - TV-Series

Sengoku Majin Goshōgun (1981) - TV-Series
Other Banpresto / Bandai subsidiaries include Sunrise, Upper Deck, Bandai Entertainment, Bandai Visual, and Cardas amongst many others.
