Character names for Tomo Muranaka, Hideyuki Tanaka, Nao Tamura, Yūki Kaji roles also unveiled

The combined 37-38th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday a more detailed cast list for Toei Animation's anime adaptation of Daisuke Ashihara's World Trigger manga.

From left to right in the image, the cast will star Yūichi Nakamura (Guilty Crown, Zettai Karen Children) as Yūichi Jin, Nao Tamura (Aiura, Log Horizon) as Chika Amatori, Tomo Muranaka (Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky, Oreca Battle) as the protagonist Yūma Kuga, Hideyuki Tanaka (Magic Knight Rayearth, Hellsing) as Replica, and Yūki Kaji (Guilty Crown, Attack on Titan) as Osamu Mikumo.

The official website for the manga had previously announced a portion of the cast earlier this week, but did not list Yūichi Nakamura or specific roles. Cast members that have not had their roles announced are Nobuhiko Okamoto, Rie Kugimiya, and Jun Fukuyama.

World Trigger debuted in last year's 11th issue of Japan's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Viz Media added the series to its digital anthology version of Weekly Shonen Jump, and it will publish the first print volume on October 7.

Viz Media describes the series as follows:

Weekly Shonen Jump's newest series is out of this world! A gate to another dimension has burst open, and from it emerge gigantic invincible creatures that threaten all of humanity. Earth's only defense is a mysterious group of warriors who have co-opted the alien technology in order to fight back!

The World Trigger television anime will premiere on the TV Asahi station and its affiliates in October. Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine's Jump Special Anime Festa will screen a World Trigger anime at its tour this November.
