This year's April issue of Shueisha 's Jump Square will announce on Wednesday that Nobuhiro Watsuki's Embalming - The Another Tale of Frankenstein will end in the following issue on April 4.
Watsuki (Rurouni Kenshin, Buso Renkin) began the series with collaboration from his wife Kaoru Kurosaki in 2007, and Shueisha shipped the 9th compiled volume in December. Watsuki put the series on hiatus last April to work on a Rurouni Kenshin spinoff manga, and planned to resume the series in the fall to enter the final arc.
The story is based on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. In 19th century Europe, the late scientist Victor Frankenstein's papers on the creation of a "Frankenstein" are being put to use. Meanwhile, Fury Flatliner seeks revenge on his parents' killer, a man with a patchwork body.
