Taka Himeno will draw manga as prequel to game

The July issue of Kadokawa's Young Ace magazine revealed on Friday that 5pb.'s Steins;Gate 0 game is inspiring a serialized manga adaptation by Taka Himeno (Grisaia no Kajitsu - L'oiseau bleu) that will debut in the magazine's September issue on August 4. The manga will be a prequel to the game.

Steins;Gate 0's story takes place directly after the events of the original game, and also includes stories from three of the Steins;Gate novels, as well as from some drama CDs, with some changes to the scenario.

The Steins;Gate 0 game shipped for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita in Japan in December 2015. An anime adaptation of Steins;Gate 0 has been green-lit. The rebroadcast of the original Steins;Gate anime took an alternate route toward the Steins;Gate 0 story in December 2015. The game received a PC release in Japan last August.

PQube released the game in North America and Europe for the PS4 and PS Vita in November.
