The staff of Kodansha's ARIA magazine announced on May 27 that a manga tentatively titled Seifuku no Ragnarok (Ragnarok of the Uniform) will launch in the magazine's August issue on June 28. Voice actor Hikaru Midorikawa (Fushigi Yugi's Tamahome, Gundam Wing's Heero Yuy, Persona 3's Akihiko) is writing the manga series in his debut as a manga writer, collaborating with illustrator Ichi Sayo.
The manga centers on a high school girl who likes smartphone social games. One day, as a reward for clearing an event in the smartphone game "Ragnarok Edge," she receives a mysterious URL. When she taps the link, a handsome but naked man appears from out of her smartphone.
Sayo launched a manga adaptation of GENCO and Happy Elements' Ensemble Stars! smartphone game in ARIA in 2015. Kodansha published the manga's third compiled book volume in November. The game is getting a television anime adaptation that was planned to premiere this year, but was delayed.
