Sentai Filmworks Licenses Tada Never Falls In Love Anime (Update)

Original anime series premieres April 5

Sentai Filmworks announced on Monday that it has licensed the Tada Never Falls In Love (Tada-kun wa Koi o Shinai) anime for streaming and home video. The series will stream as a simulcast in North America, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Spain, Portugal, and Latin America.

The anime will premiere in Japan on April 5 on AT-X at 9:00 p.m. It will also air on Tokyo MX, TV Aichi, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, TV Q Kyuushuu, and BS11. There will be a preview screening of the first and second episodes on March 31 at United Cinema Odaiba.

In the anime's original story, Mitsuyoshi Tada, a boy who has never known love, is taking pictures of the cherry blossoms in full bloom when he meets Teresa Wagner, a transfer student from Luxembourg. Upon arriving in Japan, she got lost, separated from her travel companion. Mitsuyoshi helps her and brings her to his grandfather's coffee shop.

Many of the main staff members from Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun are returning for the anime. Mitsue Yamazaki (Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, Magic-kyun! Renaissance) is directing at Doga Kobo (Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru). Yoshiko Nakamura (Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, Super Lovers) is in charge of the series scripts, and Junichiro Taniguchi (Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru) is serving as character designer and chief animation director. Assistant director Yoshiyuki Fujiwara and sub character designer Ai Kikuchi are both veterans of New Game! and Engaged to the Unidentified.

Masayoshi Ōishi (Overlord, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun) is performing opening theme song "Otomodachi Film" and Manaka Iwami is performing the ending theme song "Love Song" as her character Teresa Wagner.

Update: HIDIVE confirmed that it will stream the anime beginning on April 5 at 9:30 a.m. EDT.
